HR Business Operations
Business Operations assists with the maintenance and management of employee personnel records; operational and employee-related
transactions; and benefits administration. We are focused on delivering excellent customer service and ensuring a work environment
that both values and meets the individual and organizational needs of health improvement.
HR Compensation designs and administers strategic, comprehensive and competitive compensation programs for A&P, Classified and certain Non-Teaching positions. Consultative services relative to the administration of compensation plans are also provided institutionally.
Correctional Managed Care Human Resources provides professional, strategic business partnerships and operational support to leadership, employees, support services and communities that produce positive actions and outcomes for our client-customers, including state, private and county jails/prisons. Through collaborative efforts, we deliver strategically aligned, financially sound and leading edge, pro-active practices, policies and processes across all functional areas and locales. This includes all aspects
of HR disciplines in compensation, benefits, health, safety and security, employee relations, compliance, diversity, recruitment and retention, organizational development, training, legal and community relations in 100+ jail/prision locations across Texas.

Employee Health and Wellness
HR Employee Health and Wellness coordinates employee focused programs and services that encompass mind, body and spirit to encourage positive and lasting lifestyle changes.
Employee Relations provides consultation to employees, faculty and supervisors regarding a variety of work related issues. These include but are not limited to: compensation, performance management, discipline, reorganization, policy interpretation, leave management, grievances, appeals and investigations.
The Office of Diversity & Inclusion supports the creation of such an environment by offering expertise and guidance to develop, assess, encourage, and celebrate diversity initiatives and impart the knowledge and skills necessary for all groups to effectively participate as a member of the UTMB community.
Supports strategic, standardized people development and retention initiatives, processes and programs that develop current/future workforce and leadership while meeting compliance requirements.
Recruitment Services provides assistance for hiring departments which includes but is not limited to staffing planning, candidate sourcing and screening, advertising, the development of diverse applicant pools, on-boarding of new employees and consultation on the job posting process. Services available to UTMB employees seeking UTMB job opportunities include career counseling and resume writing assistance.
HR Business Intelligence provides decision support on people management and compliance with legal requirements and strives to promote a data-driven culture that empower users to do their own analysis through data standardization and sharing.
Workforce Technology and Analytics (WTA) supports critical Human Capital decision-making capability through the appropriate application of information, processes, and enabling technologies. We promote consistent HR standards of excellence through internal and external quality control and measurement programs.
