JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the development of systems and strategies needed to steward UTMB contributors. This position is an internal resource for all development staff to assist in maintaining quality relationships with those who generously invest (dollars, time and confidence) in UTMB’s programs and people. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: · Develops and implements a clear vision for UTMB stewardship. · Ensures the successful development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of a stewardship plan at UTMB. · Ensures effective stewardship of major gifts to UTMB. · Partners with Development Communications to ensure the development of annual stewardship reports for endowment holders and annual donors of $25,000+. · Manages the annual communication and the University of Texas Investment Management Company (UTIMCO) report distribution to all endowment contributors and/or their designated representatives. · Establishes and maintains action reminders so that documents and publications are prepared in a timely manner. Notifies field staff of deadlines and monitor progress in meeting deadlines. · Responsible for Honor Rolls of Donors – ensures the ability to segment benefactors by giving level, constituent and/or priority program; prepares and/or edits documents and publications; orders and maintains stewardship materials such as plaques, certificates and recognition items for special events. · Works with Development Services to ensure that those recognized at Sealy Society are identified, tracked and documented in a timely fashion. · Responsible for UTIMCO reporting and tracking – using electronic systems and paperless techniques, ensures that all communications and stewardship activities are documented for every living benefactor. · Develops concepts and executes tracking processes and reports that will provide routine assessment of stewardship activities – presents quarterly assessment to development leadership. · Manages and tracks stewardship budget. · Develops policy and procedure and documents common practices in stewardship. · Responsible for presentations and collaboration of information between development field staff, development communications and stewardship in preparing the data for the presentation. · Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure. REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree and four years in related work experience. EQUIPMENT: Standard office equipment. WORKING ENVIRONMENT/LOCATION OF POSITION: Standard UTMB office environment. Some state travel required. OTHER: Specific job requirements or physical location of some positions allocated to this classification, may render this position security sensitive, and thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215, Texas Education Code.
