Job Summary:
To coordinate and supervise the resources in a major financial division
and to process transactions in order to generate financial ledgers, sub-ledgers
and reports in a timely and accurate manner while providing professional
customer service for departmental representatives and managers.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:
- Functions as the
liaison between upper management and support staff.
- Participates in
establishing departmental policy for multiple or complex Finance functional
areas.
- Ensures Standard
Operating Procedures for work group are maintained.
- Ensures compliance
with federal, state and UT system rules and regulations.
- Monitors work
outcomes and provide metric data for upper management
- Assists, guides, and
instructs support staff with non-routine policy interpretations or
transaction problems which require resolution.
- Analyzes the staffing
needs for multiple or complex Finance functional areas and assists with the
hiring of personnel
- Develops and
implements procedures and standards for multiple or complex Finance
functional areas.
- Identifies
appropriate internal controls for department; provides mechanisms to monitor
and enforce compliance.
- Performs evaluations
and conflict resolution within the area.
- Performs related
duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
Associate's degree in accounting, business, or
equivalent experience and four years of related work experience in a related
functional area and/ or business.Equipment:
Standard office equipment.
