Job Summary:
To perform cash management assignments in order to support the organization's cash management needs.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:
- Manages demand accounts.
- Works with other UTMB departments and UT System to be aware of factors affecting cash position.
- Evaluates daily cash position and initiates cash concentration transfers that eliminate cash deficits or overages in all demand accounts.
- Responsible for all wire transfers to or from UTMB.
- Monitors all transactions initiated through Autocash software (PC based ACH transfers) including cash concentration, payroll, vendor, etc.
- Prepares cash forecasts weekly, monthly, and annually based on historical data and known events.
- Serves as a central contact between UTMB departments and bank personnel for information, software problems, or transaction errors.
- Ensures all cash information to UT Systems.
- Reviews reports generated by UT Systems to ensure they accurately reflect UTMB's cash position.
- Reviews and reconciles electronically transmitted charge card deposits to bank credits.
- Serves as the representative to UTMB departments for all credit card processing (i.e., ordering supplies, equipment problems, transmission problems, etc.)
- Requests and reconciles federal letters of credit.
- Requests funds on assigned letters of credit and monitors all other letters of credit to ensure funds are requested timely.
- Adheres to internal controls established for department.
- Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field. No experience required.
