JOB SUMMARY:

Develop and support consistent communications regarding various programs and to support collaborations with local community groups and healthcare providers to develop appropriate strategies for implementing successful programs.   

 

MAJOR DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS: 

  • Develop and implement a marketing and communications plan designed to enlist broad based institutional, community and health care provider support.

  • Interact with the UTMB Office of Public Affairs to support the dissemination of information.

  • Work with local community and governmental entities to insure collaboration and support for the various programs.

  • Conduct research and analysis on the impact of the programs on health policy.

  • Enlist, organize and support advisory groups to guide and support the development of various programs.

  • Assist in the development of grants to secure the necessary funding for the support of the various programs.

  • Identifies appropriate internal controls for department; provides mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance.

  • Performs related duties as required.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field and 3 years related experience. 

 

EQUIPMENT: 

Standard office equipment  

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: 

Standard hospital, clinical, laboratory and/or office environments.
