JOB SUMMARY:
Plays a key role in the
development and production of live presentational events as well as in the
production of strategic videos used to market the university to its internal and
external audiences, staff and donors. Works in tandem with the Producer/Writer
and, when appropriate, freelance teams, to create effective video programming.
MAJOR DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS:

Manage, hire and schedule production teams and individual freelancers in
creating institutional videos and staged events.

Responsible for production scheduling of all jobs that flow through Public
Affairs.

Work closely with Assistant Vice President for Public Affairs, Director of
Marketing and Producer/Writer in development of in-house productions.

Work in concert with other Public Affairs staff members to develop cohesive,
targeted approach to outreach and marketing efforts.

Provide video support to campus programs as approved by AVP of Public Affairs
and/or Director of Marketing.

Produce, direct and/or edit video productions as well as live events.

Manage and maintain Vyvx capabilities and coordinate efforts with Media
Relations and Center for Telehealth staffs as needed.

Oversee technical operation of University Productions; research and maintain
video production equipment, software and upgrades with the assistance of
on-campus and off-campus support.

Work with Public Affairs support staff to develop workflow plan that makes
more effective use of their services in terms of department reports,
purchasing, inventory etc.

Consult as requested with UTMB departments about video production

Serve on committees and task forces as assigned by Marketing Director

Attend regular staff meetings.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree or
equivalent and 3 years related experience.
EQUIPMENT:
Standard office equipment. Audio/Video equipment.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Standard hospital, clinical, laboratory and/or office environments.
